We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our guests and team members, You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Pop Up Cinemas. An inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to NS Public Health, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. 

 

By participating in Pop Up Cinema’s event you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Help keep each other healthy. Please do not attend if you feel sick or exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19.

What we're doing:

  • Ticketing is done through contactless purchasing and check-in. 

  • Staff are wearing masks, constantly disinfecting high touch surfaces and making hand sanitizer available throughout the site.

  • Regular announcements are made to remind guests to social distance, wash hands and stay vigilant.

  • spacing markers are indicated at line up areas

  • Concessions have a mobile app and contactless delivery directly to your vehicle. 

  • All guests must have registered when buying a ticket, this is for contact tracing should it be necessary. 

  • no walk-ins or in-outs are allowed.

  • Delivery bins are sanitized after every use.

  • Staff may not work if they have been outside of HRM in the past 14 days, show symptoms of being ill, or are being tested. 

  • All staff sign a declaration to this affect before each shift.

  • Senior staff is fully vaccinated. Part-time staff have at least 1 dose.

What you can do:

  • Please do not attend if you have been outside of Nova Scotia in the past 14 days and have less than 2 doses of vaccine. 

  • If you are an international visitor, or from outside of the Atlantic region, please make sure you have followed NS Public Health regulations before attending. 

  • If you only have 1 vaccine dose, you must have self-isolated for the past 7 days and received 2 negative test results. 

  • If you have not been vaccinated and have been outside of Nova Scotia in the past 14 days, please do not attend. 

  • Please do not attend if you are sick, have symptoms of COVID-19 or are being tested.

  • Stay in your vehicle unless you are going to the washroom, or purchasing from the canteen.

  • Try using our snacks app to have movie snacks delivered to your vehicle without contact.

  • Please use tap (Debit or Credit) when making purchases, or do so on the app.

  • Wear a mask if you are leaving your vehicle and checking-in. 

  • Social distance between yourself, and others.  

  • Follow team members' instructions and signage. 

  • Remember that our staff are here to provide entertainment for you and your family. We have loved ones at home too, and want to get back to them safe and sound. Please respect the rules and be patient and kind as we work together through these tough times. 

Specific Rules for Open-Air Field Movies

  • All persons in attendance must enter the main gate and be registered. 

  • You must wear an event bracelet while at the event

  • Social bubbles can not exceed 10 persons

  • You must distance your bubble 2m (6') from other social groups.

  • Attendance will not exceed 250 persons.

  • Please respect social distancing in line-ups. 

  • Please clean up after your group and take all belongings and garbage with you.
